The Podium
The Podium comprises office block buildings across two sites within the commercial district of Al Futtaim’s Cairo Festival City, a premier mixed use development in New Cairo, Egypt.
The landscape treatment aims to soften the impact of the office buildings and adjacent car parks, and provide functional, green spaces that invite and orient visitors. A curvilinear approach creates a campus like feel, and a strong link between the two sites is formed by continuity of materials and patterning. Privacy between the offices and public realm is achieved by planters wrapping around the buildings, and both sites feature the following main spaces:
- Central Square
- Multi Purpose Plazas
- Arrival Plazas
- Pedestrian Links
