Upper Crest
Located in the Burj area of Dubai and developed by Damac, Upper Crest is a luxury hotel apartment development with landscape areas occurring on the ground floor and sixth floor podium.
The sixth floor outdoor space comprises amenity areas split over two levels. A rectangular pool sits on the raised level, allowing an overflow edge to the outer perimeter.
Framed by palm planters, a children’s pool and jacuzzi also sit at opposite ends of the pool. To the south side of the tower and still on the raised level, a shaded chill out area sits adjacent to the interior spa treatment rooms. On the lower podium level is a children’s play area, outdoor café seating area as well as shaded built in seating areas.
At the ground floor, the landscape is limited due to the building footprint extending almost to the plot line. Simple banding is used to create interest in the hardscape, and define the narrow drop off area. Trees in pots are dotted along the rear of the building to soften the edge and define the boundary.
